The How
At BCG, our cleaning program uses various smart tech alongside our dedicated team of field operators, we are committed to robust cleaning operations at these locations to create a lasting impact by improving sanitation and help prevent plastic pollution.
We use a mechanical raking system for cleaning the beaches and a solar-powered river cleaner for rivers. Our drainage trash catcher stops plastic waste from upstream sources from entering the ocean through storm drainage.

The mechanical raking beach cleaner attached to a tractor, it employs rows of offset tines to rake through the sand and combing materials from under the sand’s surface. The tines then deflect the materials off a curved and deflector shield and onto a moving conveyor which deposits the materials in hopper. The river cleaner is a solar powered concentration module using the river flow which is directed and feeds the waste to the collector module.
